Vintage Fashion as part of the Auckland Heritage Festival

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

This looks like a great event, at 11am and 2pm on the 22nd and 23rd of this month there will be an opportunity to see fashion from 1920s-40s.  The parade includes garments from private collections, and is to be held in the Winter Garden at the lovely Civic Theatre, so not to be missed!

Recently I read about this nifty little outfit called Juniper Handcraft Gallery in Wellington, and well I just might make an effort to visit the windy city to check them out! (Wellington is cool, it’s just so far away these days..)
The gallery is located at 114 Riddiford Street, Newtown, here is a link to their blog.

Above is a pic borrowed from their website… (so you can see how cool their stuff is - sorry I do not know the artist… but will try and find out).

And there’s more!

Matthew was one of my tutors while I was at Whitecliffe, and this looks like another good painting exhibition…  There is a write up on this show in the Herald by the way.
